SSC Hindi Translator Educational Qualification (as on 01.08.2025)
For JHT, JTO, JT (Post Codes A to C):
- Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a compulsory/elective subject OR
- Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject OR
- Master’s in any subject (non-Hindi/English) with:
- Hindi medium + English as a compulsory/elective subject OR
- English medium + Hindi as a compulsory/elective subject OR
- Hindi and English as compulsory/elective subjects at graduation level AND
- Recognized Diploma/Certificate in translation (Hindi ↔ English) OR
- Two years of translation experience in a government office
For Senior Hindi Translator / Senior Translator (Post Code D):
- Same qualification as above AND
- Three years of translation experience in Central/State Govt. offices or PSU OR
- Diploma/Certificate in translation (Hindi ↔ English)
For Sub-Inspector (Hindi Translator) in CRPF (Post Code E):
- Same qualification as JHT (Post Code A–C) AND
- Must meet Physical and Medical Standards
- Height (Male): 165 cm | (Female): 155 cm
- Chest (Male): 77 cm unexpanded / 82 cm expanded
- Vision: 6/6 in one eye & 6/9 in the other without glasses
