PM Vishwakarma Yojana Eligibility Criteria
- An artisan or craftsperson working with hands and tools in one of the 18 family-based traditional trades mentioned in the scheme, in the unorganized sector on a self-employment basis, is eligible for PM Vishwakarma registration.
- The beneficiary should be at least 18 years old on the date of registration.
- On the day of registration, the beneficiary must be involved in the relevant trade and must not have taken out loans for self-employment or business growth under comparable credit-based programs offered by the Central or State governments, such as PMEGP, PM SVANidhi, or Mudra, within the previous five years.
- Only a single family member may register and get benefits under the scheme. A “family” is defined as the husband, wife, and any unmarried children for the purposes of receiving benefits under the Scheme.
- The Scheme does not apply to those who are employed by the government or their families.

PM Vishwakarma Yojana Online Apply Process
Online applications for Vishwakarma Yojana are being received through the official portal of the scheme pmvishwakarma.gov.in. There are 4 main steps of application which are as follows. You can also contact your nearest CSC (Common Service Center) or Gram Panchayat Department to apply for the scheme.
Step 1: Aadhaar and Mobile Verification – First of all, you have to go to any nearest Common Service Center (CSC) and get your Aadhaar card and mobile number verified. This verification process is mandatory because through this your identity is ensured.
Step 2: Artisan Registration – After verification of mobile and Aadhaar, you have to get your artisan registered through CSC only. This registration process ensures that you are eligible for the scheme and your professional identity is recognized.
Step 3: Filling the Application Form – In the next step you have to apply for the scheme by submitting all your information through the CSC center. This will include your personal information, professional information and scanned copies of required documents.
Step 4: Verification of Information – After this, all the information given by you in the application will be verified in the first phase by the Gram Panchayat or Urban Local Body. After this, after 2 more phases of verification, if all your information is found correct and you are found eligible for the scheme, then your application will be accepted.
