   • The definition of a family includes the husband, wife, and minor children.
   • The scheme excludes institutional landholders and farmer families holding constitutional posts, serving or retired officers and employees of State/Central Government as well as PSUs and Government autonomous bodies.
3. Implementation:
   • The scheme is fully funded by the Government of India.
   • State Governments and Union Territory administrations identify the eligible farmer families.
   • The scheme is implemented through an efficient and transparent process, ensuring timely disbursement of funds.
4. eKYC Requirement:
   • eKYC is mandatory for all registered farmers to receive benefits.
   • Farmers can complete eKYC through the PM-Kisan portal or by visiting the nearest Common Service Centers (CSCs) for biometric authentication.

Recent Updates of PM-Kishan Scheme 2024:

• As of June 18, 2024, the 17th installment of the PM-Kisan scheme has been released, benefiting over 9.26 crore farmers.
• The government has consistently ensured the timely release of installments, with the 16th installment released on February 28, 2024, and the 15th installment on November 15, 2023.
