Assam Apun Ghar Scheme 2025 Overview
Shri Himanta Biswa Sharma, the Chief Minister of Assam, has decided to reintroduce the Apun Ghar Scheme for regular state government employees. The State Government has agreed to grant loans to State Government Employees via the State Bank of India.
The State Bank of India has recommended giving home loans to State Government employees at interest rates of 8.50% for women and 8.55% for males. The government has decided to grant an interest subsidy of 3.5%, and after applying for this subsidy, employees will be able to obtain house loans of up to Rs 15.00 lakh at 5.0% (for women) and 5.05% (for men).

Assam Apun Ghar Scheme Facilities
- To provide hosting loans to regular state government employees.

- A suitable formula will be developed using a floating rate as a basis, ensuring that employees receive appropriate benefits in the case of a future interest rate reduction.
Assam Apun Ghar Scheme Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be regular government employees to benefit from the scheme.
- For loans of up to Rs 10.00 lakh, no property mortgage is required. However, SBI has sent the matter to their corporate center in order to increase the margin to Rs. 15.00 lakh.
- The benefits of interest subvention will be offered to eligible employees who apply for a housing loan within two years following the issuance of the Government Office Memorandum/Notification.
- A minimum of 21 years and at least 5 years of residual service will be required for the loan plan, with a maximum of 70 years for employees with pensionable service and 60 years for non-pensionable service holders, by which time the loan should be entirely returned.

Apun Ghar Loan Scheme Application Process 2025
Step 1: To take advantage of the benefits of this scheme, all applicants who meet the qualifying requirements should visit the official Apun Ghar Loan website and complete the application form.
Step 2: Once on the official website’s homepage, the applicant must select the APPLICATION FORM FOR HOME LOAN option.
Step 3: The PDF file of the application form will display on your desktop screen; the applicant must then print the document.
Step 4: After printing the application form, the applicant must fill out all of the requested information and attach any essential papers.
Step 5: After successfully completing the application form, the applicant must submit it to the appropriate government official.

Employees will submit application forms via DDOS, together with a complete set of papers in accordance with SBI’s checklist and application format.
