What is Assam Nirman Sakhi Portal 2025?
Shri Himanta Biswa Sharma, the Chief Minister of Assam, has launched the Nirman Sakhi Portal for the Welfare of Construction Workers in the state. The Assam government has taken focused measures and continues to work to guarantee that workers are not exploited, that they receive welfare benefits, and that necessary measures are made to ensure healthy and safe working conditions. Since its foundation, the government has launched several landmark projects to improve the lives of construction workers.
More than 7 lakh Constitution Workers are registered with the Assam Building & Other Construction Workers’ Welfare Board, which is why the government of Assam has developed various welfare schemes for the benefit of construction workers, such as pension benefits, marriage assistance, maternity assistance, death benefits, skill training, medical assistance, educational assistance, cash awards, and transit shelters. To be eligible for government benefits, these workers must first register on the Nirman Sakhi Portal.

Assam Nirman Sakhi Portal Registration Eligibility Criteria
- The worker’s age must be between 18 and 55 years.
- The worker must have completed at least 90 days of construction-related employment during the previous 12 months.
- The worker may not be a member of any other welfare fund.
- To register with the ABOCWWB, other state workers must be engaged in Assam.
- Applicants must have an Aadhaar card and a cellphone number linked to it for authentication.
- Applicants must be registered with eShram and possess a Unique Account Number.

Assam Nirman Sakhi Portal Guidelines
- The membership will be valid for two years from the date of registration.
- Workers who have already registered would need to link their Aadhar card and register again on the Nirman Sakhi portal.
- Members shall contribute Rs. 20/- every month to the Board’s Welfare Fund in order to continue receiving benefits under the Board’s welfare plans.
- The applicant must pay a one-time registration fee of Rs. 25/- using the available online payment facility when submitting the application.
- Following the approval of his or her application, the worker must pay a minimum of three months’ subscription fees.

Assam Nirman Sakhi Registration Process
Step 1: Visit the Nirman Sakhi Portal’s official website to register as a new worker.
Step 2: Click the New Registration Button located on the Homepage.
Step 3: Enter your mobile number that has been connected to an Aadhar card.
Step 4: Now, select your district and labor office, enter your Aadhar card number, and verify with the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
Step 5: Fill out the fundamental information, including the worker’s address, bank account information, family information, nominee information, employer information, and scheme information.
Step 6: You must upload a 90-day Construction Worker Certificate.
Step 7: Enter the eShram UAN number for validation.
Step 8: Upload all essential paperwork.
Step 9: Before submitting the application, make sure all of the details are correct.
Step 10: Pay the registration fee of Rs. 25/- online and submit your application.
Step 11: Your registration will be completed after the documents and details you supplied have been successfully verified.
