HS 1st Year Online Admission 2025 – On April 12, 2025, the Assam State School Education Board (Division II) issued an official notification for admission to the Higher Secondary First Year or Class XI at Assam’s numerous educational institutes under the ASSEB. Students who have just passed the HSLC or Matriculation Examination can apply online for admission using the ‘DARPAN’ portal by the application deadline. Students can apply for admissions digitally through the Darpan Portal without having to visit the universities.

How to Apply for Assam HS 1st Year Admission?

Students seeking admission to Higher Secondary 1st year courses at various institutions under the Assam State School Education Board (ASSEB), Division – II, must apply online. To submit their applications online, they can follow the processes outlined below.

Step 1: Scroll down, check Important Link‘s section.

Step 2: Click on HS 1st Year Online Admission link.

Step 3: A portal will display; click the Register a New Account option.

Step 4: Next, input your personal and educational information as requested by the portal.

Step 5: Upload a scanned copy of your passport-sized image and 10th grade mark sheet.

Step 6: Next choose a 4 digit Login PIN and click on register button.

Step 7: Next, click the HS 1st Year Online Admission link and log in again.

Step 8: Choose your selected course and college/school. You may select up to five institutions in order of preference for admission.

Step 9: Finally, click the submit button and print the submitted form for future reference.

Step 10: Please visit the portal regularly for updates. You will be told via the site which institution(s) have accepted you for admission.

Assam HS 1st Year Admission Required Document

During the online application form submission, students must have the following documents ready in JPG, JPEG, or PNG file format and no larger than 1 MB in size.

> Recent Passport Size Photograph.
> HSLC/ 10th Marksheet (Digital).
> Caste Certificate (As applicable).
> Disability Certificate (As applicable).
> TGL or Ex-TGL Certificate (As applicable).
> Gap Certificate (As applicable).

Assam HS 1st Year Admission Merit List

The category-wise Assam HS Admission 2025 Merit List will be released on the Darpan webpage. The merit list will be released by the appropriate institutions.

As a result, all students will have access to their seat allotment online, and they must be admitted to their chosen or allotted institution/colleges within the time range specified.

The merit list will be issued following the end of the online application procedure. Students must access the Darpan site and select their preferred school or institution within the time frame specified.

How to Check the AHSEC Admission Merit List?

Students who apply for admission to Higher Secondary First Year using the DARPAN portal can check their merit list or admission status by following the steps outlined below.

Step 1: Scroll up, go to Important Link’s section.

Step 2:  Click on HS 1st Year Merit List link.

Step 3: A new page will appear; input your mobile number, date of birth, and security PIN, then click Login.

Step 4: The Darpan portal dashboard will be opened. Click the Application Submitted button.

Step 5: It will give a list of all of your submitted college/school applications.

Step 6: You will see information about your admission request next to each school/college’s name.

Step 7: If you are selected from the merit list, click on the Accept Admission Request link to accept your admission to the specified college/school.
