The Government of Assam has launched the Pre-Matric Scholarship for Tea Tribes and Adivasi students to provide financial support to school students belonging to economically weaker sections of these communities. The scholarship aims to encourage students to complete their school education without financial constraints.
Pre-Matric Scholarship for Tea Tribes 2025-26
The primary objective of Pre Matric Scholarship is to provide annually Stipend to eligible candidates. The Tea Tribes Pre Metric Scholarship is only for the students belonging to Tea Tribes and Adivasi Community. The Scholarship is provided to Class IX and Class X Students.

Eligibility Criteria for Tea Tribes Pre Metric Scholarship
To be eligible for the Tea Tribes Pre-Matric Scholarship, students must meet the following conditions:
- The Applicant must be a Permanent Resident of Assam and must belong to the Tea Tribes or Adivasi community of Assam.
- The student must be studying in Class IX or Class X in a recognized school.
- Family income should not exceed ₹5 Lakh per annum.
- Should not be availing any other government scholarship for the same purpose.

How to Apply Tea Tribes Pre-Matric Scholarship 2025-26
Tea Tribes Pre-Matric Scholarship Registration Process
- Open the url : https://www.sirishassam.in/home/login
- Click on the “Online Application” on the Home Page.
- You will be redirected to an external link “Online Application Portal”.
- For new users, click on the REGISTRATION link. Existing users can click on the LOGIN option.
Information to be provided by the applicant for registration
- Name
- Gender
- Email Id
- Mobile number( To send OTP for 1st time registration)
- Password
- OTP sent to your mobile must enter in the space provided
- Click on Register.
After Successful Registration in the Portal, Applicant must submit Online Application for the Pre-Metric Scholarship for Tea Tribes.
List of documents to be uploaded (For Fresh Applicants):

- Original copy of Birth Certificate.
- Undertaking on annual income as per attached format.
- Original copy of caste certificate.
- Original copy of Mark-sheet of last examination passed.
- Certificate from Headmaster as per attached format.
- Original copy of Aadhaar Card.
- First page of applicant’s bank passbook.

Amount of Scholarship
The eligible students will be awarded an amount of ₹3,000 per annum. Money will be made available to the students directly through E-transferring.
